What is the #VMAs emoji and why should I care?
- The #VMAs emoji is actually what's known as a hashflag
- Hashflags are special emoji-like icons appearing on Twitter if you use specific hashtags
- They show only in official Twitter apps and are to encourage people to use those hashtags
- They are often part of an ad campaign & may be called branded emoji or custom emoji
